In the early invention of housing construction roofs are flat but nowadays people tend to choose trusses roof for their house. This is because the trusses can form the stability for your house compared with the conventional flat roofs that can easily collapsed by wind or broke down caused by wear and tear.
A trusses roof is made of wood and is joining together by the metal connectors to form a frame of the roof. The trusses are named after according to their shape like M truss, W truss, Gable and Scissors. They are fastened with metal plates and cover by a sheet of plywood once the roof trusses are up. It is difficult to frame the roof properly without using the roof truss.
Hence you may use a reinforced timber structure to construct the roof of your house that is called a timber roof truss. It is energy efficient compared with other roofing methods. The structure is designed to fit securely on top of your house. The roof truss is assembled at the manufacturing plant and send right to your house. It is not assembled at the site because of the nature of the joint.
